Elder Petersen said his goodbyes and honorably walked out the opposite door from his family and into his new role as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are so proud.
Ryan is proud too-one day he, too, hopes to be called on a mission!

The Temple

Logan was able to go through the Sacramento Temple on March 7, 2009. Much of his endowed family and friends were able to share this special experience with him. Here are some of the pictures of this wonderful day. Note: Dad, a weekly temple worker, had to attend to a shift immediately following Logan's endowment session, thus, he is not in any of the pictures.

Here Logan is pictured with his brother David, a close friend, Kurtis and two of his friends Adam and Johnny who are currently serving missions and all are in the Provo MTC together.

On the same evening, Logan's singles ward took a temple trip to do baptism's. Logan and his girlfriend Sam attended together and were able to share in his special temple day as well.

The Call

The call arrived in the mail Saturday, December 20, 2008, six days after Logan's 19th birthday. As is Petersen style, the celebration was announced with a household of people who came to share and celebrate with him. Little did we know how quickly three and a half months would fly by!



Funny story-we all did a poll on where we thought Logan would be called on his mission. The only one who guessed Canada..... LOGAN. He was inspired, the call was inspired and he knows there are people in Canada waiting for him to share with them his testimony.

Welcome to the blog for Elder Logan Neil Petersen. This site will be updated by close family and friends on behalf of Logan as he serves the Lord in the Canada Calgary Mission. We know there are many that love Logan and will want to hear of his successes and stories from his experiences in the mission field...because, we all know he loves to tell a story-and we LOVE to hear them! We are all so incredibly proud of Logan and his brave and faithful decision to serve the Lord on a full time mission.
